Wilbur Gilliam Obituary

Wilbur Gilliam, 86, of Isonville, KY, passed away November 9, 2021 at his residence.  Wilbur was born March 7, 1935, a son of Clarence and Nancy Sparks Gilliam.  In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Lee Smith Gilliam, and his second wife, Leona Thornsberry Gilliam; an infant son, Wilbur Curtis Gilliam; and a stepdaughter, Carol Thornsberry.  Wilbur was also preceded in death by five brothers; Delmar Gilliam, Donny Gilliam, Delmaine Gilliam, Franklin Gilliam and Ronald Junior Gilliam, and two sisters; Junice Gilliam Binion and Eunice Gilliam Frazier.

Wilbur is survived by two sons, Michael Gilliam and wife Dinah of Isonville, Ky, and Roger Gilliam and wife Cheryl of Sandy Hook, KY, as well as one daughter, Sharon Harper and husband Chris of Isonville, KY; seven grandchildren, Brandon Gilliam and wife Rachel of Winchester, KY, Megan Gilliam McKinney and husband Kevin of Winchester, KY, Jarrod Gilliam and wife Rhonda of Olive Hill, KY, Jordan Gilliam of Sandy Hook, KY, Jessica Gilliam Cox and husband Mark of Sandy Hook, KY, Kendra Harper Ison and husband Adam of Sandy Hook, KY, and John Harper of Independence, KY; eleven great grandchildren, Anna, Olivia and Emma Gilliam, Elijah and Jacob McKinney, Madilyn and Jase Gilliam, Brooklyn Gilliam, Kaci and Cameron Cox and Alva Ison.  Wilbur is also survived by one brother, Kevin Gilliam of Isonville, and one sister, Mary Howard of Sandy Hook.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will also be on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 am up until the time of the funeral.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Gilliam, Jarrod Gilliam, Jordan Gilliam, John Harper, Kevin McKinney, Adam Ison and Mark Cox.
