Vilma (Sparks) Tackett

Vilma Sparks Tackett, 95 of Isonville, KY passed away March 2, 2023 at Elliott Nursing & Rehab at Sandy Hook, KY. She was born January 5, 1928 in Elliott County, the daughter of the late Arville and Margarette Ison Sparks. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Robert Tackett in 1982. Also, a son, Timothy as well as three sisters:  Ida Alice Sparks, Sylvia Lenore Sparks and Lou Jean Redwine and daughter in law, Dorotha R. Tackett.

Vilma was of the Methodist faith. She was a retired teacher with the Elliott County School System. She was a member of the NEA, KRT, Elliott County Retired Teachers and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her loving son, Thomas Michael Tackett of Isonville, KY. Two grandchildren:  Tana Tackett Quiles and Tara Tackett. Great Grandchildren:  Jocelyn Quiles, Jaelyn Quiles, Tristan Tolentino, Ace Grant, Alara Cleveland, Aliyah Cleveland, Sylus Cleveland, Daelyn Cleveland, Aaric Cleveland. Great Great Grandchildren:  Isabella Marin, Anastasia Foderingham, Michael Angelo Foderingham and Amala Jimenaz.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home Sandy Hook, KY. Burial at Elliott County Memory Gardens
