Vicky Lynn (Oliver) Hargraves

Victoria “Vicky” Lynn Oliver Hargraves, age 65, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away January 4, 2022 at UK Chandler Medical Center of Lexington.

Vicky was born in 1956 in Xenia, OH to the late D.V.  and Wanda Adkins Oliver. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Robert Glenn Hargraves and a brother, David Robert Oliver.

Together she and Robert created a loving family with two surviving sons, David (Christa) Hargraves of Grayson and Joey (Lynsey) Hargraves of Ona, WV; adoring grandchildren, Logan Alexander, Tyler Tristin, Dylan Brent, Rylan Blake, and Reed Joseph Hargraves; and a special son, Josh (Sarah) McDaniels.

Vicky was a devoted wife and mother that enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and baking for her family.  She enjoyed family gatherings and bragging on her boys.  Her warm smile made everyone around her feel welcome. 

She was a dedicated member of her community serving the Elliott County Woman’s Club.  She was instrumental in the establishment of the Elliott County Public Library building project.  She enjoyed her work as the director of adult education in Elliott County and her time as librarian of the Rocky Adkins Public Library.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother Ronald Vinson (Norah) Oliver of Morehead; sisters Wanda Sue (Jimmy) Groves of Georgia and Edith Ann (Richard) Rife of Georgia; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that will sadly mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held on January 10, 2022 at 1:00pm at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home of Sandy Hook with Bradley Cotton officiating.  Burial will follow at Elliott County Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be on January 10, 2022 from 12:00pm till time of service at the funeral home.
