Obituary
Stella L. Gartin Sparks, 75 of Martha, KY passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her home. Stella was born October 19, 1947 at Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Charlie Gartin, Jr and the late Arlena Sparks Gartin. She was also preceded in death by her husband Larry David Sparks as well as a daughter, Della Miranda Oliver.
She was of the Baptist faith. Stella was the previous owner of the Mazie Mall, also a homemaker and loved to make quilts.
Stella is survived by her loving family, a son Charles David Sparks of Louisa, KY. Her grandchildren: Isaac & Sarah Smith of Sandy Hook, KY; and Corey & Candace Distel of Thelma, KY. a Step granddaughter, Jenna Smith and great grandchild Lyric Webb. A brother, John Gartin also survives her.
Funeral will be conducted Thursday, August 17 at 1:00 PM at the Elizabeth Church at Martha, KY at 1:00 PM. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at the Hay & Sparks Cemetery.
