Pauline Horton Brown, 81 of Sandy Hook, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born November 24, 1939 on Middle Fork in Elliott County to the late, Eula Stevens Ison and Ray A. Horton. Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by one brother, Billy Wayne Ison and a niece, Mary Ann Horton.
Surviving are her daughter, Tanga (Donnie) Barker; two grandchildren, Briant (Johnna) Barker and Alicia (Mike) Cantrell; three great-grandchildren; Kara and Micah Cantrell and Brylee Barker; three brothers, Ray Edward (Billie) Horton, Hershell Ison, Jim (Michelle) Ison; four nieces, Misty Ison Prater, Kelsey Ison Couch, Jamee Ison Markwell and Kesha Ison; and a host of family and friends along with her special caregivers at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation that will miss her dearly.
Pauline was retired from the Elliott County Board of Education where she took pride in caring for so many children that passed thru Sandy Hook Elementary. “Miss Pauline” as she was affectionalty known, always had a smile and a hug for each person she encountered.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Charles Skaggs Officiating. Burial will be in Elliott Co Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include, Donnie Barker, Hershell Ison, Jim Ison, Ray Horton, Briant Barker, Mike Cantrell, Joe Markwell and Jerry Legg.
Visitation will be from 11:00am till 1:00pm on Friday, January 8, 2021.
