Myrtle Cora Adkins Wilder, age 80, of Wells Creek, Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away May 2, 2020, at her residence.
Born December 22, 1939, in Elliott County, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Sarah Bowling Adkins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Emery Lee Wilder and Garland Adkins; one son, Johnny Joe Wilder; a daughter-in-law, Felicia Dawn Wells; and siblings Edith Adkins, Delpha Adkins, Elsie Lewis, Joe Mitchell Adkins, and Clayton Adkins.
Myrtle is survived by her son, Richard Lee Wilder (Tammy) of Sandy Hook; daughter-in-law, Karen Wilder Roseberry of West Liberty; furbaby, Eki; grandchildren, Johnna Wells-Wilder, Jordan Wilder (Amy), Jacob Wilder (Jessica), Ryan Wilder (Chrissie), Derek Dickerson (Brittany), and Kendra Dickerson, all of Sandy Hook; great-grand children, John Whitley, Jace Whitley, Caden Whitley, Emery Grace Wilder, Adalyn Rose Wilder, Brooklyn Taylor Nickell, Austin Tyler Townsend, Lucas Gaige Dickerson, and Maverick David Dickerson; and siblings, Linda Martin of West Liberty, Pauletta Lewis of Sandy Hook, Shirley Miller of Grayson, Eldon Adkins of Sandy Hook, and Marvin Adkins of West Liberty.
Myrtle was a member of Neals Howard Creek Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and often worked in factories in the area.
Due to the COVID-19 regulations set forth by the Governor, a private family service and burial will be held at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home and Adkins, Wells, Wilder Cemetery on Monday, May 4, 2020 with Dean Lewis officiating.
