Michael Keith Whitley, age 47, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away December 16, 2019 in West Liberty, Kentucky.
Born January 30, 1972, in Rowan County, he was a son of Dwight and Flora Ison Whitley. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving pet companion Peyton; nieces Rebecka (Wesley) Vanover of Flemingsburg, and Amanda Whitley of Grayson; great nephews Ryan Stafford, John Whitley, Charles Calton, Landon Stafford, Damien Calton, Levi Vanover, Allen Vanover; great niece Ana Hamblin; aunts Mary Loena Bailey of Grayson, and Carol (Krandell) Sturgill of Sandy Hook.
Mike is preceded in death by grandparents Milo and Pauline Ison and Elmer and Faye Whitley; a brother, John Dwight Whitley; nephew Jonathan Whitley; and uncles Randy Whitley and Keith Whitley.
Mike was a painter, pipefitter, truck driver, singer, songwriter, and musician.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2019, at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook.
Visitation at Lewis and Ferguson at 11:00am on Friday, December 20, 2019.
Pallbearers will be Dale Ferguson, Donnie Howard, Maynard Howard, Robert (Bobby) Skaggs, Brady Smith, and Wesley Vanover. Honorary pallbearers include Jesse Whitley, Nathan Whitley, Ty Harper, and Bill Arnold.
