Lucy Jane Eldridge Stephens, age 92, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020, at her home.
Born April 15, 1928, in Elliott County, she was the daughter of the late John and Jailey Elizabeth Gilliam Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James Robert Stephens; one son, Johnny Ralph Stephens; one daughter, Kathy Jane Stephens; and one granddaughter, Robin Clark Howard; three brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by her loving children, Glenna (Billy) Clark of Sandy Hook, JT (Karen) Stephens of Grayson, and Roger Dean Stephens of Olive Hill; grandchildren, James Tracy Stephens of Grayson, Kara Dawn Stephens Dobson of Shelbyville, and Kymberlea Stephens of Ashland; great grandchildren Brandon Howard, Connor Howard, Clark Howard, David Trace Stephens, Luke Edward Dobson, and Jamison Thomas Dobson; and one brother, Daniel Dean Eldridge of Muncie, Indiana.
Lucy enjoyed being outdoors. She loved gardening flowers, especially roses and fruit trees. She was a caring neighbor that would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. She was very free hearted.
A private family service will be conducted Monday, May 11, 2020 at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with a drive-by visitation from noon to 1:00pm for the public.
(Due to the COVID-19 regulations set forth by the Govenor) A drive-by visitation does not permit visitors to exit their vehicles. Lewis and Ferguson attendants will direct traffic around the funeral home, record visitor names in memory book, and hand out memorial cards. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
