Lonze Turner, age 74, of Sandy Hook, KY passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born to the late Charlie and Molly May Moore Turner on September 2, 1947 in Sandy Hook.
Lonze was of the Baptist faith often found watching televised ministries and most recently, local services provided via Facebook. He enjoyed spending time with his family, coon dogs, horses, chickens, and his scanner. He was a retired employee of the Elliott County Board of Education where he served as a bus driver and garage mechanic.
He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvan "Bo" Turner, Donald Turner, and Willie Turner; and a sister, Jorene Snelling.
Lonze is survived by his loving companion of 38 years, Sherry Kelley; adoring children, Londa Turner Allen of West Liberty and Kevin (Benjie) Turner of Sandy Hook; grandchildren, Jarred Fannin, Gina (Dylan) Adkins, Jemilyee Allen, Tecoa Turner, Braxton Kelley, Chassity Kelley, and Bentley Ferguson; great grandson, Dallas Rhett Adkins; sisters, Betty (Roland) Hutchinson and Maxine (Donald) Smith; and a host of family and friends that will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be conducted at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at 1:00. Visitation will be held at funeral home on Friday, September 17th, 2021 from 6:00 till 9:00pm.
