Kermit Ray Vanhoose, 76 of Sandy Hook, KY passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Community Hospice at Ashland, KY. Kermit was born December 4, 1944 in Pike County, the son of the late Everett and Zeda Coleman Vanhoose.
He was a Christian. He attended Fannin Enterprise Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a machine shop owner.
Kermit is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Brickey Vanhoose. His children: Angie Vanhoose, Missy & husband Butch Simmons and Ray Vanhoose all of Sandy Hook, KY. Six grandchildren: Zachariah Evans, Autumn Horton, Natalie Vanhoose (Tanner Moore), Ethan Hammond, Emilee (Nathan) Riggsby and Lindsey Simmons. Two great grandchildren: Madison Rose and Emmett Moore. A brother, Arlen Chester (Mardy Jo) Vanhoose of Bardstown, KY; two sisters: Sue King of Louisville, KY and Juanita Collins of Detroit, Mich. Also special nieces and nephews, Suzanne Galbreath, Brian Wright, Samaya Scheler, Josh Vanhoose as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be conducted Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY with Bro. Jason Ison and Bro. Jeff Adkins officiating. Burial will be at the Elliott County Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home and from 9:00 AM Saturday until service hour.
