Joseph Nicholas Marx

Joseph Nicholas “Nick” Marx, 41 of Sandy Hook, KY passed away September 4, 2021 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center at Morehead, KY.

Nick was born January 12, 1980 in Rowan County, KY. He was the son of Minnie Marx of Sandy Hook, KY. Grandson of the late Bertha & Logan Clevenger. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a former teacher’s aide with the Elliott County Board of Education.

Nick was preceded in death by 3 brothers:  Robbie Hunter, Samuel Marx and David Marx. Also, 4 sisters:  Debra Clevenger, Rosetta Notestine, Tabatha Marx and Barbara Marx.

He is survived by his mother, who he lived with and devoted his time to helping care for her. His sisters:  Anita & Curt Simmons of Grayson, KY; Velinda & Jeff Dennis of Sandy Hook, KY and Matilda & Bryan Jenkins of Sandy Hook, KY; and Angela & Brian Dickerson of Sandy Hook, KY.

Nick also had 3 very special friends that he loved dearly. Lori Bunk, Lavonnie Conley, Casey Clevenger and a special niece, Sierra Marx.

Funeral will be conducted Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY with Bro. Glen David Creech officiating. Friends may call Friday at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Dennis/Marx Family Cemetery
