John Wetzel Triplett, 80 of Webbville, KY went home to be with our Lord, Thursday, December 14, 2023 from Three Rivers Medical Center at Louisa, KY after a very short, aggressive form of ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease).
He was born October 29th, 1943 at Louisa, KY, the son of the late Johnny and Hazel Crabtree Triplett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Clinton (Ida Mae) Triplett, Betty (Buford) Russell, Anna Kathleen (Chalmer) Martin and Leslie "Pooch" Triplett. Brother in laws, Tom Conley and Bob North.
John Wetzel worked hard as a pipefitter at Ashland Oil / Marathon to provide a wonderful life for his family. He worked hard as a farmer, raising tobacco and hay for his family to have extra. This afforded him to vacation with his brother and sisters to fish and vacation at Bull Shoals Lake for 21 years. Can't forget the deer hunting , fox hunting and trap shooting that he loved so much. Most of all, he loved Fishertown and all that it held...family and friends. He and Carol did not have to work hard to have the most generous hearts for their community.
Wes is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol Pelfrey Triplett. A daughter, Teresa Triplett Lewis & Mark of Sandy Hook, KY, Rodney Triplett & Tiffney of Staffordsville, KY. His world was his grandchildren, Logan and Emily. He is also survived by his sisters: Phyllis Conley, Dorothy North, Jean Triplett, Marlene (Ennis) Hord, all of Dayton, OH Debbie and Roger Skaggs of Grayson, KY.
We would like to recognize our extended family that helped in the care of Wes, we love you so much!
