Janet Lou Fannin Fraley, age 71, of Sandy Hook, was called to be with Our Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her adoring family.
Proudly raised on Neal Howard’s Creek, Janet is the daughter of the late Thurman Edgar and Eva Mae Howard Fannin. She and her siblings share a bond that has held strong into their adult lives.
Janet was united in marriage to Gary R. Fraley on January 23, 1970. They were blessed with three cherished sons. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her much joy, especially when they were able to get together with their extended family members. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister to a family that treasured her.
She loved to visit and talk with her friends and family, often while shopping. Janet always offered a smile as a greeting. She especially enjoyed her time as a member of the Neall Howard’s Creek Community Church and as an employee of Smith Chiropractic in West Liberty. She was a friend to all that knew her.
Janet is also preceded in death by brothers Robert W. Fannin, Boyd E. Fannin, and Cobern D. Fannin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Gary R. Fraley; children, Gary Dewayne (Carrie) Fraley, Cobern Brock (Heather) Fraley, and Joseph Scott (Amanda) Fraley; grandchildren, Garin Fraley, Kara Fraley, Karleigh (Kyle) Greene, Kaila (Jake) Vanover, Gary David (Alyssa) Fraley, Ella Fraley, and Easton Fraley; great-grandchildren, Reid and Phoebe Greene, Asher and Luke Vanover; brothers, Clettis L. (Jeanette) Fannin, James R. (Vanessa) Fannin; sisters, Brenda (Hershell) Sheets, Rita (Tim) Griffith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will sadly mourn her passing.
