Herman "Joey" Joseph Barker

Herman Joseph Barker, known as Joey passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at the residence of his sister. Joey was born February 4, 1969 at West Liberty, KY, the son of the late Silas Herman Barker and the late Amanda Lee Fraley Fannin.

He was of the Baptist faith and a former maintenance worker at Ramey Estep Home.

Joey is survived by his loving wife of 29 1/2 Anna Clemonis Barker. He is survived by a son, Silas Joseph Barker of Ashland, KY; a daughter, Courtney LeShea Barker of Grayson, KY. Three grandchildren: Layne Ship Kosky, Lilian Brandenburg and Greydon Joseph Barker. Also three sisters survive him, Vernadine Wetherell of California; Juanita Yanson of Florida and Bernice Claxon of Grayson, KY. A host of special cousins 2 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be conducted Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY with Bro. Bill Dillon officiating. Burial will be in the Ison Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers:  Rodney and Shannon Ison, Michael Laney, Don Claxon, Lane Kosky and Bob Ellison.
