Gloria Jean Stafford Boggs, age 77 of Sandy Hook, KY went to her eternal home Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born August 11, 1944 at Grayson, KY to the late Robert Stafford, Jr. and the late Hildreth Kegley Stafford. She is also preceded by her loving husband of 45 years, Billie Boggs, one brother Paul Stafford and one special nephew, Rodney Eugene Stephens.
Gloria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. She had a heart of gold and spent most of her adult life caring for others. She cooked for several years at Concord and Cliffside Schools. She was a devoted Christian and member of Concord Enterprise Baptist Church for 48 years. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by one daughter, Hildreth Ann Boggs (Tim) Flanery of Sandy Hook, KY; a grandson, Jonathan (Brittany) Kissinger of Sandy Hook, KY; three granddaughters: Amy (Joseph) Adams; Kara (Brian) Given of Sandy Hook, KY and Ashleigh Flanery of Nicholasville, KY. Nine great grandchildren: Aydin & Kaydin Kissinger, Mallory & Peyton Gilliam, Raelyn & Jayda Adams, Mason & Jacob Given and Easton Jointer. A very special and loving sister who cared for her many years, Joyce Stephens. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral will be conducted Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY with Bro. Ford McKenzie and Bro. Ricky Lewis officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Elliott County Memory Gardens.
