Florina (Ison) Harper

Florina Ison Harper, 78 of Isonville, KY passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Harper was born September 27, 1941 at Isonville, KY; the daughter of the late Doctor Noel and Stella Elisabeth Woolridge Ison. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Alva Jack Ison and a grandson, Aaron Sloas.

She graduated Sandy Hook High School and attended World Harvest Bible College. She was a Christian and member of Isonville Community Church, but also loved to attend other churches. She was also a homemaker.

Florina and Wick lived in Germany, lived in Indiana, Ohio and came home to Isonville to live all their lives surrounded by family and friends. Florina was a devout Christian and served the Lord in so many ways including song and prayerful ministry. She has served the Lord faithfully for her entire life and has touched so many through the years and is loved by innumerable friends and family.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her loving family, husband Wick Harper. Her children:  Christopher Kendall & wife Sharon Gilliam Harper of Isonville, KY; Elisabeth Kimberly Harper & husband Jerry Underwood of Old Hickory, TN; Penelope Kaye Harless of Lebanon, OH; Felicia Harper & husband Michael Green of Crockett, KY; Jacob Noel Harper of Isonville, KY.

Her grandchildren:  Kendra Ison, John Harper, James Sloas, Cameron Underwood, Alexander Harless, Alicia Bradley, Alaina Harless, Emma Dickerson and Bryson Dickerson.

Her great grandchildren:  Kinsley Sloas, Harper Bradley and Alora Bradley as well as several step – grandchildren.

She is also survived by five brothers:  Wilbur Ison, Samuel Ison both of Isonville, KY; Noel Ison of Greenup County, KY; Mack Ison and Alan Ison both of Isonville, KY.

Funeral will be conducted Tuesday, June 30 at 1:00 PM at the Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home with Bro. Christopher Harper officiating. Burial will be at Elliott County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Mon. , June 29, 2020 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers:  John Harper, Jerry Underwood, James Sloas, Alexander Harless, Michael Green and Bryson Dickerson.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Aaron Sloas, Adam Ison, James Bradley
