Evelyn Juanita (Boggs) Green

Evelyn Juanita Green, 86 of West Liberty, KY; formerly of Elliott County passed away November 11, 2021 at the West Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Green was born March 8, 1935 at Culver, KY; the daughter of the late Earl and Sophia Edwards Boggs. She was also preceded by two brothers, Mitchell and Elmer Boggs as well as her husband Burl Green.

She was a very loving Mom and Grandmother and loved her family very much. She is described as an awesome cook, quilter and seamstress. She formerly owned two general stores and was a former assistant post master. She was a homemaker that enjoyed raising her children and helping others, reading, cooking and raising gardens to can and freeze for her family. She was a Christian and attended Index Community Church at West Liberty.

Mrs. Green is survived by her loving family. Two children, David Green and wife Barbara of West Liberty and Cindy Jones and husband Sam of Covington. Five grandchildren:  Samuel and Sophie Jones, Sean Anthony, Travis and Lyndsey Green. Three great grandchildren:  Lillian, Holly and John.

Her brother and sisters:  Edgar Boggs & wife Myrtle Von of Pickering, OH; Ralph Boggs & wife Joann of Galina, OH; Gene Boggs & wife Judy; Junior Boggs & wife Wanda; Mildred Castle & husband Alvin all of Blaine, KY; Myrtle Salyers & husband Bennie of Sandy Hook as well as a sister in law Faye Boggs of Ohio.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 14, 2021 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY. Funeral will be conducted Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM by Pastor Mike Frisby. Burial at the Elliott County Memory Gardens.
