Elmer Lang Kinster, age 79, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away at his home on May 28, 2021.
Elmer was born July 8, 1941 in Elliott County to the late James and Ruth Kinster. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Dearl Kinster.
On December 17, 1964 he married the love of his life, Joyce Myers Kinster. Together they had three children, Mark Kinster of Elliott County, Tony (Kelly) Kinster of Elliott County, Robin (Al) Zappa of Williamstown, Kentucky. He is also survived by his adoring grand-children; Corissa Kinster, Al Zappa III, James Zappa, Tyler Smith, and Jami Smith; and great grandchildren; Gabby Smith, Bo Snell, and Wyatt Smith; two sisters; Leda Rose and Brenda (Tony) Fannin; and sister in law; Judy Kinster; as well as a host of family and neighbors that will sadly mourn his passing.
Elmer was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation in Elliott County. He enjoyed camping, horseback riding, western books and movies, and spoiling his beloved German Shepherd, Marley. He was a a member of American Legion Post 138 Olive Hill and the Sandy Hook Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 1:00pm at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Bro. Willie Skaggs Jr. will officiate and burial will follow at the Kinster Family Cemetery on Rt. 504.
Visitation is from 11:00am until time of service on June 1, 2021.
