This is the life of Dwaine Griffith. Born in Grayson, KY February 25, 1948 and was raised playing in the creeks and hillsides of Bruin, KY. He knew then that God followed him and he talked to the bare foot boy.
Dwaine was saved May 13, 1973 at the Wallowhole Church when the Holy Spirit lifted him from his knees after months of conviction he was called to preach the Lords word and did so as long as he was able. He was a member of the First Enterprise Association of Regular Baptist Churches Inc. He also corresponded by mail and phone with the radio missions, First Baptist Church of Algiers where he received many tracts by old Anglican Preachers and them to people. His prayers and hopes were to tell as many people as possible about the Lord and His great salvation and to see them saved. He sent hundreds of gospel messages direct to people on Facebook and posted many that the Lord gave him. A few hours before God called him home, he did his last post. You can go to his Facebook page to read his sermons.
Dwaine married his soul mate Sherry Lynn Fannin Griffith on January 26, 1968 and to this union was one son, Kevin Dwaine Griffith. Kevin married Robin Lynette Whitt and they were blessed with 2 sets of twin boys, Kevin Reece and Richard Landon and Eli Kristian and Gatlin Raine. These boys were the apples of papaw’s eye. He loved them more than his own life.
Besides his wife Sherry and the 5 boys, he is survived by two brothers William Ray (Sandra) Griffith of Grove City, OH and Alonzo Griffith of Sandy Hook. Two sisters, Linda Lou (John) Goodman of Sandy Hook and Celia Sherrill (Herman) Sargent of Given, WV. He leaves 6 nieces and nephews: Kim & Chad, Brandon & James, Derick & Kelsey. A special friend Joe & Judy Jarvis of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Lowell and Mae (Lewis) Griffith and his beloved uncle that lived with them, Roy Lewis; also other precious uncles and aunts and a host of friends and family.
