Doris Jean (Gallion) Cooksey

Doris Jean Cooksey, 87 of Grayson, KY passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Community Hospice, Ashland, KY.

Mrs. Cooksey was born June 11, 1934 in Elliott County, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Pennington Gallion. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cooksey.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Cooksey is survived by her children:  Johnny Cooksey of Grayson, KY; Charlie Cooksey of Nicholasville, KY; Paul Cooksey of Defiance, OH; Kathy Hall of Willard, KY; Jackie Seagraves of Grayson, KY; Connie Burkart, Cheryl Ramey, Barb Lawson and Lynn Jarrelds all of Defiance, OH. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A sister, Janice of Marion, OH.

Funeral will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home at Sandy Hook, KY with Rev. Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will be at the Gallion Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday.
