Dixie Stinson Obituary

Dixie Ferguson Stinson, age 92 of West Liberty, KY passed away on September 29, 2021 at her home.

Dixie was born on April 28, 1929 on Paint Creek, in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Clay and Julia Ferguson.

She married Aubra Stinson on March 3, 1947. Dixie was a devout Christian and a member of Newcombe Valley Church for many years. She loved attending church, visiting with friends and neighbors, sewing and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Aubra, an infant son Rickey, a brother Leander Ferguson, four sisters:  Maxie Ferguson, Edna (Ike) Ferguson, Effie (Jesse) Fields, and Norma (Paul) Moore and three special friends Mabel Stinson, Pauline Kelly and Jean Adkins.

She is survived by two sons Dana (Debbie) Stinson and Neal (Lois) Stinson. She was a fiercely loving grandmother to Kara Beth (Logan) Bales, Courtney (Hank) Mangeot, Brandon Stinson and Ashley (Van) Campbell. Also surviving are her sister Windelene (Randall) Hutchinson and three great grandchildren:  Ella Mangeot, Harper Bales and Vivian Campbell and a special friend of many years Minnie Adkins, along with a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

The family appreciates the dedicated and loving care provided by Dixie's caregivers:  Liz Law, Rosie Clevenger, Patricia Price, Lucy Romans and Mary Kate Perry.

Graveside services will be conducted at Elliott County Memory Gardens on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Newcombe Valley Church would be appreciated.
