Charles "Junie" Ward, Jr., 93 passed away February 26, 2021 at Morning Pointe in Russell, KY. Charles was born in Sandy Hook, Kentucky on May 11, 1927 to Charley and Thelma (Adkins) Ward. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 70 years Lois (Rose) Ward and three children: Steven Keith Ward, Renaye (Daniel) Sparks and William Craig (Donna) Ward and four grandchildren: Meleah Ward, Nicolas Reid Sparks, Carly Compton and Stevie Ward and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert Ward, Burl Ward and George Ward. He is survived by one sister, Lois Jean Wolfe of Vincennes, Indiana.
He was a proud veteran and served during World War II and the Korean War. Upon returning from the service, he worked as a Pipefitter and was a member of the Plumber and Steamfitters Local Union 248 for 73 years.
During his retirement he became a seasonal resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida and spent many years enjoying fishing, his favorite outdoor activity. A number of his friends and fishing buddies followed him to Florida which made his time there even more special. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Rose Hill Baptist Church or a Veterans Organization of choice. The family would like to thank Morning Pointe of Russell and Ashland Area Hospice for their compassionate care.
