Carl Ratliff

Carl “Bucky” Ratliff, 70 of Sandy Hook, KY passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center at Ashland, KY.

 Carl was born October 30, 1950, the son of the late Louisa Thornsberry Ratliff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ann Utley Ratliff; a son, Steven Ratliff; a stepson, Dwayne Utley as well as a sister, Ann Whitt.

 He was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of the Elliott County Board of Education.

Carl is survived by two sons:  Jeffrey Carl & wife Rebecca Ratliff and Nicholas Scott Ratliff both of Sandy Hook, KY. A daughter, Jessica Holbrook of Sandy Hook, KY. Five grandchildren:  Amber and Kaleb, Ratliff, Ayden Reed, Austin Thompson and Steven Ratliff. A brother and sister, Ernest Lee Ratliff of Sandy Hook, KY and Clarsie Jane Ratliff of Louisville, KY also survives.

 There will be a private service held at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. Burial will be at the Elliott County Memory Gardens.

 Covid 19 mandates as set forth by the Governor will be observed.
