Billy Waggoner Obituary

Billy Waggoner, age 79, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, went to his eternal home on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born September 16, 1942 at Sandy Hook, Kentucky to the late Brack and Rosa Waggoner. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Glenda Waggoner, four brothers (Johnny, Millard, Parish, and Milt), and two sisters (Hazel Waggoner and Irene Sparks).

He is survived by his loving family:  one daughter, Anita Lewis (John); two steps-sons: Durward Calton and Clifton Calton (Shirley); seven grandchildren: Kinley and Ian Lewis, Virginia Arrington, Billy Scott Calton. Elizabeth, Helen, Anita and one very special grandson, Scott Calton, who he raised as his own: two sisters: Cora Phillips and Betty Ann Eldridge; and one brother, Isom Waggoner, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will greatly miss him.

Bill is a retired road construction foreman, farmer, and bus driver. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed raising multiple gardens and sharing the harvest with family and neighbors. His giving nature and positive attitude made him a joy to be around.

Visitation and services will be held at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Immediate family may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friends and family may visit from 11:00 to 1:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Burial at Elliott County Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers: Ian Lewis, Larry Phillips, Terry Royse, Randy Wagoner, Ronnie Wagoner and Wayne Waggoner

Serving as honorary Pallbearers:  Jess Adkins, Ellis Cornett, Watt Eldridge, Miles Owens and Dee Riggsby
