Billie Brown Obituary

Billie Jo Brown, age 96, of Ashland, KY, passed into eternal rest on February 22nd, 2023, with her loving family at her side.

 

Billie was born January 1, 1927 in Sandy Hook, KY to the late Robert Miller and Roxie Clevenger Miller. Billie was a member of the Sandy Hook United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Stars. She married the love of her life, John Waldo Brown in 1943 and they had a blessed marriage for over 50 years before his passing. They were also blessed with 3 sons: Larry Brown, Johnny Brown and Jeff Brown.

 

Billie Jo was many things to many people and she will always be known for her kind and generous soul, her amazing food, her food canning specialties, her warm home and the unmeasurable love she had for her family.

 

Billie is survived by her two loving children; Larry Brown and his wife Leona; and Johnny Brown and his wife Janice all of Ashland, KY; Her loving grandchildren: Robin Irvine, Jonathan Brown, Erin Mulvaney, Brett Brown, and Taylor Brown; Step-Grandchildren: Michelle James, Heather Brumfield, Kim Ryan; 5 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Step-Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great Step-Grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Billie is enjoying a heavenly reunion with her husband, John Waldo Brown; one son, Jeffrey Brown; three brothers, Addie Earl Miller, Frank Miller and Burns Miller; three sisters, Lillian Miller Adkins, Effie Miller Howard, Joyce Miller Mays.

 

A graveside service to honor the life of Billie Jo Brown will be held Monday, February 27th, 2023 at 1:00pm. The service will be held by Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home at the Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook, KY.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice at 2330 Pollard Rd., Ashland, KY 41101. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Community Hospice for their wonderful staff that helped us during this time; and also to Kings Daughters and Sons for giving her a caring and safe home.
